Love

Sharing, caring, wanting, needing,
Someone dear to you, you want to hold.
Helping, assisting, doing, being,
A friend, a companion, a lover.
Joy, happiness, sorrow, pain,
Sharing all with one you love.
Loving someone through thick and thin,
Being close in the heart if not in distance.
Everyone needs someone to care,
Someone to share, to want, to need,
Someone to soothe away our pain.
A friend to lean on, to support our endeavors.
We can live without anguish,
We can survive without pain,
But we need love to understand.
