Hear Their Call
If a friend should call,
Will you be there, will you hear their plea,
Would you understand the needs they have,
Can you open your mind and give of yourself,
Have you the heart to carry you through?
If a friend should call,
Does your giving show clear,
Could you be there in the worst of times,
Is your soul true to their cause,
Should you jump at the opportunity to share your wealth?
If a friend should call,
Are you the friend they think they have,
Where would you turn, or be willing to face,
Do you know your friend wants you there,
Has your courage faded or remains strong?
If a friend should call,
Give your attention to them,
Show them your strength,
Allow them a place to lean,
Listen to their cry for help.
