WebSpeak Commands

On the left side of WebSpeak window, there is a tree structure which shows a list of commands. The main parent in the tree is the project. See highlighted item below. When project is highlighted, it shows you project properties on the right side such as:

  1. Project name

  2. The character you want to use in this project

  3. The title of your web page

Show Character:

This allows the character you selected in the project properties to be visible. There are no extra properties for this command.

Play Animation:

This command tells the character to play an animation. Select which animation you want from the list of animations on the right of the window.

Move To:

This commands tells the character to move from it's current location to another location. Just enter the new co-ordinates of the new location in the X and Y text boxes.

Speak:

The Speak command tells the character to speak something you specify. Enter the text that you want to be spoken at the Speak box. You can also adjust the Pitch and Speed of the text to be spoken by changing the pitch and speed slide bars.

Pause:

The Pause command tells the character to pause in seconds before the next command is executed.

Hide Character:

This allows the character you selected in the project properties to disappear. There are no extra properties for this command.
