Creating Talking WebPages
Now that you have a good idea about WebSpeak's
main window and the commands used by WebSpeak to create a script, we can start
by showing you a simple example on how you can make a simple welcome for your
main page.
Example:
Let's assume you have a web store. you main web
store is at http://www.mywebstore.com. When someone visits your web site,
you would like Peedy character (A parrot character) to appear on the top right
corner of the screen, and start by playing a pleased animation, followed by the
character saying the following:
Hi, welcome to My Web Store!
Then the character will then play an announcing
animation, and continue on saying:
Please feel free to browse our huge selection
of computer hardware and software. We offer the best prices on the web, always!
Then, the character will pause for 10 seconds,
and whispers:
For a limited time, I will offer you free
shipping on any order valued at $50.00 or more. Hurry, this won't last for ever!
The character now will play a wave animation, and
say "Good Bye!", then hides.
